Dr. Wagner was board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine with a specialty in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2005. She received her B.A. from Swarthmore College in 1990 and her DVM from Cornell University in 1999. Following a one-year internship at South Shore Animal Hospital in South Weymouth, she spent two years in private practice in Danbury, Connecticut. Dr. Wagner then completed a three- year residency, followed by one year as a Clinical Instructor in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison Wisconsin from 2002-2006. From 2006 to 2008 Dr. Wagner established the Internal Medicine service at the New Hampshire Veterinary Referral Center in Concord, New Hampshire.
Karin is happy to have returned to her home state of Maine after many years away. She grew up in Lewiston and now resides in Portland with her border collie, Emmett and three striped cats, Finn, Zeeba and Mr. Sharkey.
