Amy Hodshon, DVM, DACVIM

Amy Hodshon grew up in East Tennessee and graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in mathematics. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and then completed a rotating small animal internship and a neurology internship at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She returned to the University of Tennessee for a 3-year residency in neurology and neurosurgery. She completed her residency and became board certified in veterinary neurology and certified in veterinary neurosurgery in 2013. She served as a clinical instructor for one year and then joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee as an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery in 2014. In 2017 she moved to Maine with her husband, three young children, two dogs, and a cat to join the neurology team at Maine Veterinary Medical Center. Her interests include neuroimaging, neurosurgery, and intervertebral disk disease. In her outside time, she and her family enjoy camping, hiking, canoeing, and exploring the beautiful Maine coast.
